Coastal Education & Adventure

Fort Caswell is located 30 minutes outside of Wilmington, NC where the Cape Fear meets the Atlantic and the outdoors is your classroom! We are surrounded on three sides by the Cape Fear River, the Atlantic Ocean, and unsullied marshlands. Rich in beauty the Assembly offers security unmatched by hotels, while offering a variety of recreational options and customized meal plans. Fort Caswell provides the perfect setting for Leadership Training, Continuing Education and Environmental Education certification workshops. Groups large or small can be accommodated.

Meeting Facilities

Fort Caswell offers spacious meeting rooms that can be set-up to your specifications, including break-out rooms for discussion groups and breaks. Audio/video equipment and special room set-ups can be handled with no additional charge, when reserved in advance.

Accommodations

Lantana Lodge

Lantana Lodge features spacious bedrooms, a living room, large kitchen, a premier dining and conference room, 24 person minimum.

Smith Conference Center    

The Smith Conference Center provides adult accommodations, a dining room and conference facilities. Maximum of four people per room.

Dining

Ft. Caswell has two dining facilities on campus. Meal times are flexible; however, if your schedule doesn’t allow for a leisurely cafeteria style meal, we will be happy to prepare bag lunches for your group or even quick biscuit breakfasts.

Leadership and Team Building Workshops

The Leadership and Teambuilding Workshop is designed to promote effective interpersonal and team-related skills, to aid in character development and leadership skills, and to strengthen both individual self-esteem and group cooperation. Workshops are offered as mini-sessions (1-1/2 hrs), half-day (3 hrs) or full-day (6 hrs). All workshops end with debriefing, which gives the group time to reflect and comment on observations, challenges, successes and failures of group efforts throughout the workshop.

Mini-Session (1-1/2 hrs)               $6/person

Half-Day (3 hrs)                               $12/person

Full-Day (6 hrs)                                $24/person
