The North Carolina Baptist Assembly is owned and operated by the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina to provide a facility for its programs and activities of its member churches and agencies. Other Christian denominations, Para-church groups, and nonprofit organizations whose purpose and objectives are not contrary with those of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina may use the North Carolina Baptist Assembly facilities as space is available. In keeping with the purpose of the North Carolina Baptist Assembly, the director has the authority to schedule or refuse use of the facility.
Winter, Spring, and Fall Reservations:
The North Carolina Baptist Assembly accepts reservations for non-summer retreats anytime but never more than one year in advance of arrival date. Requests may be made in writing or by telephone.
Check in after 4 p.m.
Check out before 10 a.m.
Check-in and check-out times must be adhered to unless prearranged when making your reservations!
All checks or money orders should be made payable to the North Carolina Baptist Assembly. The Assembly cannot accept personal checks for payment of a group’s bill. We do accept credit cards for reservations and in our PX (Gift Shop).
To reserve space, the Assembly must receive a non-refundable deposit of 10%. Deposits are due by the date specified on the confirmation form.
To confirm a reservation, the Assembly must receive a deposit of 50% of total bill at least 60 days prior to scheduled event.
Any cancellations or changes must be made at least 60 days before the group is scheduled to arrive. After this date all deposits will be forfeited. No changes by telephone are accepted.
Credits are computed at check-in and will be mailed within 30 days following the retreat or the cancellation date.
Groups will be charged for any damages that occur to their accommodations during their stay. The Assembly reserves the right to refuse future lodging to groups who cause damage. Any damages to carpet or flooring will be charged and billed to the group after check-out and cleaning is preformed. PLEASE NOTE: Groups are not allowed to prepare or serve meals in buildings that are not equipped with a kitchen!
Classroom Use Fee
All groups using a classroom or meeting space will be charged a $2.00 per person one time fee. There are NO additional fees for equipment use or set-ups that are requested in advance.
The Assembly prohibits all of the following items in an effort to make Caswell a safe and peaceful place for all who visit: narcotics, firearms, fireworks, skateboards, portable stereos, metal detectors, pets, alcoholic beverages, water guns, water balloons, and shaving cream fights.
Single, non-related males and females must have separate sleeping quarters. Insurance regulations prohibit smoking in any building. Pets are not allowed on campus or in the guests’ quarters and no boarding facilities are provided on campus. Guests disregarding this rule will be subject to cancellation without refund.
In keeping with the Assembly’s purpose, program planners and group leaders are required to establish modest dress guidelines that are consistent with Christian principles. Guests are asked to wear cover-ups to and from the beach and pool.
Youth groups must be supervised by responsible adults age 21 or older. The Assembly requires a ratio of one chaperone for every eight youth or portion thereof. This means that one male chaperone must accompany every eight male campers, and one female chaperone must accompany every eight female campers. Chaperones must reside with their group. The Assembly cannot accept responsibility for supervision of individuals. A criminal record check for all church chaperones is advised.
