The Camp Seabreeze Day
Arrival for Camp:
In good weather the Seabreeze day will begin at the pool. If
it is raining in the morning or evening, please check with
gate personnel. Please display the Seabreeze entry pass as
you arrive at the gate. Please remember the maximum speed
limit on campus is 20 mph.
Hours:
Camp will open for the day at 7:30 a.m. and close at 5:00
p.m. Please follow the schedule of 7:30-8:30 a.m. drop-off
and pick-up times of 5:00-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A
late fee of $5 for every 15 minutes will be charged after
5:30 p.m. Please send a note or advise camp staff if another
person is to pick up your child in the afternoon.
Quiet Time:
Special books, individual toys or quiet games may be sent
for our daily quiet time. Recorded G or PG movies
appropriate for children may also be sent for viewing.
Campers are requested not to bring trading cards of any kind
to camp. Children will be responsible for all the items they
bring to camp, therefore, please label all belongings with
the child's name.
Meals & Snacks:
Parents must provide a daily lunch for each child. Cold
punch or water will be provided during the camp day. Please
check your child's lunch for good nutrition. Sandwiches,
cheese crackers, granola bars or fruit are all good lunch
choices. Avoid sandwich materials that spoil easily. Please
pack lunch in a plastic bag or lunch box marked with your
child's name. Camper’s lunches will be transported to the
Assembly’s air-conditioned cafeteria where they will eat.
Program:
A weekly schedule of activities will be posted at the
Seabreeze Headquarters building, at the pool, or available
upon request. During mornings at the pool, Seabreeze campers
will have a combination of free swim time and swimming
lessons Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Selected afternoons,
campers will spend up to two hours at the beach. Campers
will have various special program guests who will come on
site for special events. Seabreeze will not transport
children off campus.
Camper Guidelines
Dress Guidelines:
a. Shoes (appropriate for walking and recreational
activities please), shorts and a camp T-shirt must be worn
at all times in and around camp. Additional Seabreeze shirts
are available for purchase.
b. A bathing suit, 2 towels and possibly a sweatshirt will
be needed daily for the pool and beach.
c. Sunglasses, visor or hat, and waterproof sunscreen are
recommended for each child.
d. Children will be responsible for all the items they bring
to camp, therefore, please label all belongings with the
child's name and pack everything in a gym bag, backpack or a
plastic bag with handles. This will allow us to hang bags on
coat hooks.
Discipline:
Campers at Seabreeze will not receive any type of punishment
other than "time-out" in a corner or chair away from the
activity of the group. Special discipline problems will be
discussed with the parents as necessary and may include
immediate release of a child from the program if deemed
necessary by camp directors (example: physical violence
toward other campers or staff). Please read the
Camp
Seabreeze Expectations for Campers and Families.
Safety:
The Assembly prohibits all of the following items in order
to make Caswell a safe and peaceful place: skateboards,
scooters, music boxes, fireworks, pets, large toys, squirt
guns, mini-bikes, bicycles or skates.
First Aid:
Our staff is trained in first aid. For emergencies beyond
our training the local Rescue Squad will be called, as well
as the parents.
Lost & Found:
Items will be placed in our Seabreeze headquarters. All
items must be claimed within 30 days. Please mark all items
brought from home.
